                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 4200
                   AND 4400 BLOCKS OF FAGAN STREET, BEING ON THE
                   SOUTHEAST LINE OF FAGAN STREET AT EAST 44TH
                   STREET, FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-2 LIGHT
                   INDUSTRIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 4200 and 4400 blocks
                of Fagan Street, being on the southeast line of
                Fagan Street at East 44th Street.  Lot 161 and
                174-183, block 12, Oakview, New Era Land Company's
                Addition No. 1, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 5, page 69, ROHC; being the properties
                described in deed book 1757, page 399, ROHC, and
                deed book 2292, page 431, ROHC.  Tax Map No.
                167F-E-1 (part) and 12.
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone to M-2 Light Industrial Zone.
        
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:

              	   1.	Approve all but the northernmost lots fronting on
              	   	Fagan.
              	   2.	All existing easements are retained.
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
